You will have gotten away with eating bad foods before getting pregnant but now that you are eating for 2, it\’s about time you rethink your diet. You need to eat healthier to give your baby the best nourishment she'll presumably have. Do you think you can do that for her?

But first, you need to know that not all foods are made equal. There are foods that may be bad for your baby's health while there are the ones that can give her a great early lead in life. Do you want to know what these pregnancy super foods are? Well, here they're!

Beans. Work in any kind of beans into your diet – get them in your salad, soups and pasta, and any place else you can think about! Aside from providing you sufficient amounts of iron and folic acid, beans are also rich sources of calcium and zinc. As you very well know, calcium is needed for your child's correct bone development and it helps promote a healthy heart, nerves and muscles. On the other hand, zinc promotes correct cell growth and gives you a more healthy pregnancy experience.

Berries. Did you know that blackberries, blueberries and raspberries can be very good for you and your baby? These heavenly fruits are packed with some of the most important nutrient elements (including vitamin C, folate, potassium and fiber) that can help in promoting a fitter pregnancy.

Eggs. While you must keep away from raw or undercooked eggs during your pregnancy, cooking them thoroughly before eating them can do you and your baby lots of good. Eggs are a fine source of 13 essential nutriments including protein and choline, a vital nutrient that promotes fetal brain development. And you get all these for only 70 calories! Are you able to honestly ask for more?

Salmon. This greasy fish contains big amounts of omega-3 trans-acids, a necessary nutrient required for your child's correct brain, vision and nervous system development. It's also a useful source of top quality protein and B vitamins. Do you know that it could also promote a more fit pregnancy and reduce your likelihood of depression? Trust me, if there\’s one thing that should not be low in your diet, it should be omega-3 EFA!

Whole grains. Whole grain cereals and breads are great for you since they contain more fiber than their refined counterparts. For even better results, go for the ones that are improved with iron and folic acid. Iron is needed for keeping your baby in robust health and can help prevent preterm delivery while folic acid seriously lowers the risk of serious neural tube defect in babies.

Now, are you prepared to give your baby a lead in life? You should. Start eating right and your baby will certainly many thanks for it!
