Learn to feel comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. When you start taking classes to learn a new language it is a good idea to remind yourself that everybody else there is in the same position that you are in. Nobody is going to laugh at you for mispronouncing something or using the wrong verb tense.
Your classmates are beginners too! One of the biggest hindrances to the learning process is feeling self conscious and not letting yourself make mistakes because you are afraid of feeling silly. When you take a beginners class in French, everybody else there is new to the language as well. Let yourself make mistakes or say things strangely.
